End of an Era

 

What do you tell the girl who wants to spend her life writing? Tell her no.

Tell her she would be poor if she became a writer.

Tell her "the money" is in another industry..in this case it was healthcare.

Tell her that her writing skills are only useful in academia.

Tell her that her gift is a hobby.

I spent over a decade where I didn't belong..

I don't regret it because of the experiences and people I've met and grown with as a result of working in healthcare. I have the utmost respect and admiration for healthcare workers.

It was just time to go..
