Applause for Pivots

A lot of people have been pivoting from one career to another due to having the extra time to develop new skills, a sudden boost of confidence as a result of watching people glow up with small businesses, or out of last resort due to unexpected layoffs and trouble finding another job. Yes, the COVID 19 global pandemic came into the world and catastrophically broke many, but also managed to motivate and rebuild some. Some people began tapping into dreams and talents that laid dormant within while they burnt themselves out in the rat race living someone else's dream.

I applaud everyone who fell and got up in addition to those who were already up and saw it fit to go for more. I am happy to see people winning in new and unexpected ways.

Salute

This was His ability to bless me with opportunities during a global pandemic. This was...

End of an Era

What do you tell the girl who wants to spend her life writing? Tell her no. Tell her she would be poor if she became a writer. Tell her "the money" is in another industry..in this case it was healthcare. Tell her that her writing skills are only useful in academia. Tell her that her gift is a hobby. I spent over a decade where I didn't belong.. I don't regret it because of the experiences and people I've met and grown with as a result of working in healthcare. I have the utmost respect and admiration for healthcare workers. It was just time to go..
